Antigone Tribunal

Slavoj Žižek‘s drama The three lives of Antigone, published in 2015, contains three very different endings for Antigone’s resistance against any form of political reasoning.The chorus, the people and the citizens not only comment on the action but also become part of the action on stage. With the specifically casted citizen’s chorus, we examine various questions with regard to the preservation, alteration, dissolution and creation of political order – questions that seem ever more urgent in the present light of Europe’s uncertain future.
